I also began developing my own series I’m hoping to finance and shoot in the coming year. That one is a wild gory action thriller and I’m playing a gutter punk villain with blood lust. Born Dora Madison Burge on 17th October, 1990 in Hutto, Texas, USA, she is famous for Friday Night Lights. Next weekend is the world premiere of another Begos picture called VFW. Dora Madison is a 31 year old American Actress. We’re still touring with BLISS by Joe Begos which is another descent into mania and violence which has been a really cool ride to be on.
What current projects are you working on? Every role is different but I love knowing what inspires my director because it gives me boundaries to play in and push past in my performance. For this project, in particular, he sent me several films for inspiration like Roman Polanski’s Repulsion so we definitely paid homage to some classic films in a Millennial setting.
Michael, our writer-director is incredibly knowledgeable concerning cinema. Where do you draw your inspiration for your roles? Are there any specific individuals you look to? Well, I’m used to playing sweet and innocent but the chance of taking a deep dive into the abyss of madness was pretty therapeutic. How was the role of Dorthy different than other roles you have previously taken? I’m a pretty shame-filled self-deprecating person naturally so it wasn’t that hard to tap into that. In what ways did you prepare for your role? She is such a sweet, down to earth individual, and what happens to her is heartbreaking. So it’s a cautionary tale of taking your thoughts captive before the run away with you.ĭorthy appears in Chapter 7 “Viral” and anyone who has seen it has had to feel for Dorthy. When it turns out everything was fine and she was perfectly healthy it’s heartbreaking because her own shame is actually what killed her. Dorothy’s narrative of herself morphed into a very dark space and consumed her so much so that she saw a monster when she looked in the mirror. I really loved the concept of how your “I am” statements shape your reality. What drew you to the role of Dorthy Weaver and being a part of the DARK/WEB team?
